Here’s Why Instagram is the Most Important Social Media Platform for Your Business
(Hint: it has something to with Engagement)

We are all aware of the benefits and power of Social Media. It is especially crucial for your Business.
But do we know which Social Media is the Most Important for your Business?
Here’s the answer: INSTAGRAM

Yes, of all the Social Media Platforms, it is Instagram that all Businesses, especially Retail Brands should master.
Yes. There is Facebook. But Instagram tops Facebook in certain aspects and here are the Top reasons why:

1. #REACH

Instagram has more than 800 million users globally and around 500 million users are active on a daily basis. That’s a HUGE number! These numbers alone prove that Instagram is ideal for all Business to boost their brand.

2. Instagram has the Highest Engagement

The most amazing part about Instagram and what makes it really standout is its engagement rate. On an average, Instagram users share more than 95 million photos and videos and generate more than 4.2 billion likes a day! A 2014 Forrester study Instagram’s engagement rate at around 4.21 % which is huge compared to Facebook’s engagement rate which is merely 0.7%. A Self-starter study, however, provides more detailed analysis: More than 68% of Instagram users interact with brands on a daily basis, compared to 32% of Facebook. That’s a HUGE Difference!

Their final analysis says that brands receive 58x more engagement per follower on Instagram than Facebook.

3. Instagram users are more likely to visit your website (and Stay!)

Instagram also brings in highly-engaged visitors to your website. Yotpo, a leading Content Marketing Platform, conducted a study to find out which channels bring in the most traffic with the highest engagement. According to their study, visitors from Instagram are more likely to visit a website through the app and stay. An average user spends 192 seconds on websites, that’s more than 3 minutes and higher than many other marketing channels. Instagram users stay 40% longer than Twitter users and 45% longer than Facebook users.

4. Younger Audience

Instagram is highly popular among young adults, especially women. 55% of Internet users that belong to the age group of 18-29 use Instagram. And according to a study conducted by Pew Research, 31% of female Internet users and 24% male use Instagram regularly.

5. Instagram users are more likely to purchase a product

All your marketing and advertising efforts and campaigns, no matter how creative, all come down sales.

And Guess What:
Instagram Ads Delivers Sales. More than 1/3 of Instagram users have purchased a product through Instagram. In fact, they are 70% more likely to do that than non-Instagram users. These statistics are based on Instagram Ads.

Don’t Abandon other social Media: Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms are also powerful in their own way. In fact, Facebook and Twitter account can be linked to your Instagram account and whatever you post on Instagram can be shared on the other two. Their imaginations are blocked.” - David Ogilvy, Confessions of an Advertising Man
